Boys Track & Field Earn Two DAC Wins at Portage

The Boys' Track and Field Team picked up two DAC victories on Tuesday night at Portage, defeating Michigan City 126-6 and Portage 81-51 in conference action to move to 2-0 in the conference and 3-0 on the season. The Bulldogs were led by a strong group of first-place finishes across the track and in the field. Bobby Bond sprinted to wins in both the 100 meters (11.02) and 200 meters (22.52), while Jake Metzger claimed the 1600 meters in 4:45.96 and Jackson Zona won the 800 meters in 2:01.88. Crown Point also took first in the 4x100 relay, where Bobby Bond, Logan Friedman, Caydon Smith, and Amari McClorey combined to run 43.08, and in the 4x400 relay, where Christian Devany, Owen Dorin, Logan Friedman, and Landon Burnett finished in 3:34.47. In the field events, the Bulldogs continued their strong night. Nathan Drohosky and Jay O'Barski placed first and second in the high jump by clearing 5-10, Isaac Roman won the pole vault at 15-0, Caydon Smith captured the long jump with a leap of 21-1 1/2, and Dominic Fantin won the shot put with a mark of 47-2 1/4. Next up in DAC action, the Dogs will be back at home next Tuesday when they host Valparaiso and Merrillville. Results Attached
