In the September 24, 2025 conference showdown, Crown Point edged out Valparaiso 1-0 at home in a tight, defense-driven match. Although Crown Point dominated the match in possession and chances on goal, the game remained 0-0 for 78 minutes. After a shot from Nathanial Townsend was saved over the goal, Brayden Kurtz bent in a corner kick that found the head of sophomore Maksim Tasevski for the lone goal of the match with less than 2 minutes left. Junior goalkeeper Oliver Brewer turned in another solid performance, recording two saves and preserving the shutout. The victory extended Crown Point’s win streak to five and raised their record to 7-4-2, while handing Valparaiso their first loss of the season (dropping them to 10-1-2). Looking ahead, Crown Point is set to host South Bend Saint Joseph on Saturday September 27th. They finish up their season with the last two games against Illiana and Merrillville next week.
